Are You Ready to Start Pushing Back?

Let’s do it together!

Push Back - The Workshop

A 3-week program to learn the skills, implement the ideas, and take the actions necessary to Live, Love, and Work with Others Without Losing Yourself.

Here’s the problem...

  • You want to speak up, assert yourself and make changes, but you’re worried about coming across as mean, cold or rude.

  • You’d like to start asking for what you need, stating your preferences and setting limits, but you don’t want to make anyone angry. You don’t want anyone to think you’re being difficult.

But, why not? What’s so bad about being difficult?

In Push Back, the book, I teach women that seeking harmony for it’s own sake is a trap.

There’s no winning in making everyone else happy at your own expense. And in nearly every situation, it’s within a woman’s own power to make positive changes.

In Push Back, the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with a group of like-minded women on the same journey you are, identify what you need to make the changes you seek, and plan to take concrete action.

Insight is important, but change only takes place with action.

Do You Experience This?

In a world that encourages women to be nurturing peacemakers, the message is clear—don’t rock the boat. But maybe rocking the boat is exactly what you need to have the life you desire.

If you find yourself:

  • Talking yourself out of being disappointed or angry,

  • Telling half-lies or withholding information to avoid difficult conversations,

  • Repeatedly saying "Now's not the time" to make significant changes,

  • Absorbing pain, disappointment, and hurt for others,

  • Feeling unexplained anger, sadness, or resentment…

Whether in the workplace, in unequal relationships, or in difficult family dynamics (spouses, in-laws, adult children!), you’ll learn what to say and how to say it to change your behavior and, consequently, the way others see and treat you.

It’s time for something different.

I’m a successful Brooklyn-based psychotherapist and writer known for my work with relationships and communication. I emphasize deep self-knowledge and self-compassion, combined with speaking up and taking meaningful action.

On “Staying Sane Inside Insanity,” the blog I created and write for Psychology Today, my posts on relationships and personal growth regularly reach over 1,000,000 readers. I’ve written a Modern Love essay for The New York Times and been featured as an expert in Newsweek, The Guardian, Fatherly, Well +Good and the Bumble site, The Buzz.

As a professional, a wife, a mother, and a woman in the world, this is a journey I’ve been on myself - staying silent instead of speaking up and settling for easy stagnation instead of challenging growth.

The lessons I teach in this book were hard won.

I know both how difficult it can be to make changes, but also how rewarding and life-changing it is to have done so.

Imagine If You Could…

  • Embrace healthy conflict

  • Know your worth

  • Hold those around you to the same standards you hold yourself.
